Detective Cassie Maddox (Byrne) has a dopplegänger, and she’s lying dead, stabbed to death in the ruins of a old stone cottage outside of Dublin. Lacking solid leads, the police report victim Lexie Madison to be injured but alive, leaving Cassie to step into the dead woman’s life undercover. Posing as the Trinity College graduate student, Cassie is the best hope at finding Lexie’s killer, but the situation is far from safe: the last four people to have seen the victim alive are her new housemates (McAvoy, Whishaw, Redmayne, Pearson)—and the killer is still at large.
